Teacher’s Day Special Felicitation at Jiva

To look up in admiration at the unstoppable pursuit of knowledge even when the world had come to a halt, this year the Teacher’s Day was special and different. In honour to bow and express gratitude to the dedication of teachers ,who believe that learning should not stop, this special day was celebrated virtually in class groups during the morning assembly.
The programme commenced with the recitation of Gayatri Mantra followed by a Sanskrit shloka in veneration of teachers. The students recited self- composed poems, songs, definition of hardworking teachers and added humour by singing a parody .The students also mentioned the hard endeavours put in by the teachers during the lockdown due to Covid-19. The occasion mentioned about the second President of India Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan ,who was a teacher and the day is dedicated in his honour. He is credited for many great contribution to education.
In the present time, the schools are closed world over due to pandemic. But the learning has not stopped even in such vulnerable circumstances ,the teacher remains duti- bound and thus a teacher is above all and the most respected person.
The chairman Shri Rishi Pal Chauhan wished all the faculty members on the occasion and stated that a teacher is like a candle ,who guides and lights the world of ignorance with knowledge and darkness with light, hence a Guru is supreme.The Director Mrs. Chander Lata Chauhan greeted the teachers and appreciated for their hard contribution in this critical time.
