A Safe, Eco-Friendly and Traditional Diwali at Jiva

An ambience of festivity embarked at Jiva premises to celebrate Diwali in its most traditional but eco-friendly manner. It conveyed the message that the festive occasion should be felicitated pollution free and safe. The occasion was briefed with the festive significance and the folk lore of Lord Dhanwantri’s incarnation on Dhanteras Day. The true meaning of Deepawali was explained by Chairman Shri Rishi Pal Chauhan.

The programme commenced by offering traditional puja of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi by the Chairman, Director, Principal and Coordinators of the school, followed by cultural items on stage by the students. The students staged a short skit that appealed to make the country pollution free and not to burst crackers. They also intimated the harms caused by bursting crackers to humans, animals and plants. The students celebrated Diwali in an eco-friendly way using natural and waste materials for decoration. The enthralling dance added colour to the celebration and kept everyone mesmerized.

The occasion was also marked with awards to winners at Inter-school level for different events in sports, speeches and Bhajan Competitions.

The Chairman Shri Rishi Pal Chauhan and the Director Mrs. Chander Lata Chauhan wished a safe and Happy Diwali to students and teachers. Shri Chauhan in his address stated that one must light the candle of knowledge on this festive occasion, as it leads to the pinnacle of success. We must follow our culture and acknowledge the scientific importance that each tradition and ritual carries. Each festival in India is based on some scientific aspect and we must realize it for our own benefit. He also advised to remain rooted to our culture.
